About Peter B. Peterson
Peter emigrated to Utah in 1859 as a Mormon convert, settling in Salt Lake City. Later he moved to Huntsville and lived there until 1874, when he became one of the first settlers of Kanesville, then a part of Hooper. He was married to Ann Powell at Salt Lake, in 1870. He was a member of the Wilson Canal company and had always been active in church and other organizations, the work of which was for the benefit of the community in which he lived. For a number of years, he was bishop of the Kanesville ward. Mr. Peterson was well known throughout the county and had many friends in Ogden.
