About Peter A Winebrenner
Peter Winebrenner was in the 35th Regiment of the Virginia Militia from August 1813 to August 1814. In his army records
obtained from the National Archives his occupation before the
war was Blacksmith. After his military service, Peter Winebrenner went back to Augusta County, Virginia, given in records as his residence at time of enlistment.
There he married Mary Faigler in 1816. They farmed in Virginia and West Virginia after the
war.
{Peter fought to defend the U.S. from the British in the War of
1812. We have record that 3 of his sons - Alexander Hamilton,
James Calvin and Michael - all fought for the Confederacy from
the state of Virginia during the Civil War.]

WINEBRENNER [Winebrener}, Peter, Enlisted at Richmond by Capt. Isaac F. Preston for one year on 10 Aug. 1813. At enlistment: 20 years old, b. Frederick Co., MD. On March 6th he was reported sick in hospital.

DESCRIPTION OF PETER WINEBRENNER:
"Peter Winebrenner a private of Captain Preston's Company 35th
Regt. U.S. Infantry being five feet six and 3/4 inches high,
light complexion, grey eyes and light hair, twenty years of age
and by trade a Blacksmith and having faithfully and justly
served his tour of duty, is hereby honorably discharged from the
United States Army, his term of Service having expired, and is
entitled to the Compensation allowed by law for travelling in to
Augusta County, [VA] his place of residence - being distant 300
miles from Craney Island the place of his Discharge.

Number "2" is entered or persons in the household who would be classified as manufacturing. Since Peter was a blacksmith, I'm wondering if that would have been a trade under the "Manufacturing"classification.
