Petrona Capulong c 1820

Petrona Capulong lived in Sta Ana, Manila in the 1830's. Sta Ana Manila was once part of Kingdom of Tondo under Lakan Dula.

Lakan Dula has a son named Dionisio Capulong. He is childless but he adopted Batang Dula's (Lakan Dula's heir) daugnter Daba. Daba's descendants were given Capulong surnames.

mtDNA results show that Petrona Capulong has cousins in the royal house of Kingdom of Mongondow Indonesia, founded in the 1600s.

In 1200s the Majapahit Indonesians came to Palawan bringing with them Budhdhism

The Majapahits were defeated by the Kingdom of Tondo in Battle of Manila in 1365

A daughter of the Majapahit (later Kingdom of Mongondow) became wife of a Capulong, from the Royal House of Tondo in the 1300s.

Petrona Capulong is a descendant of this union.
