Philipp Auerbach

Auerbach was, from 1946 to 1951, State Commissioner for Racial, Religious and Political Persecution (Staatskommissar für rassisch, religiös und politisch Verfolgte ) in Munich, Bavaria .

Co-founder of the Vereinigung der Verfolgten des Naziregimes (VVN), his main area of activity was reparations for victims of the Nazi regime. He was also a member of the leadership of the Central Council of Jews in Germany ( Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland (en) ). In 1951, a lawsuit was brought against him. In the night following the judgment against him, he committed suicide. A commission of inquiry from the Bavarian parliament rehabilitated him in 1954. There is no doubt his accusation was politically motivated, with strong antisemitic undertones.

, Ph.D. :תארים אקדמיים מקצוע: מדעי המדינה, מסחר. עיסוק: מסחר, מזכיר מדינה נכלא במחנה ריכוז על ידי הנאצים. עם שחרור המחנה התמנה לתפקיד בכיר במימשל הבריטי בגרמניה ואחר כך מונה למזכיר המדינה בממשלת בואריה. עסק בזקיפת קומתם של ניצולי מחנות המות, עודד אותם ודאג למחסורם. היה פעיל בחיי הקהילה היהודית המתחדשת והניח את היסודות לחוק הפיצויים לקורבנות הנאצים. הורשע ע"י שופטים חברי המפלגה הנאצית לשעבר בהעברת פיצויים יתרים לנפגעי השואה ונדון ל-3 שנות מאסר ובעקבות מכך התאבד.
