CITY RESIDENT P. C. JACOBI DEAD AT 90

Phillip C. Jacobi, 90, of 57 N. Park Ave., who has been a patient at Grancare since 1963, died there at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Born May 31, 1879, in the Town of Friendship, the son of Christ and Catherine Jacobi, he married the former Agnes Hochrein on Oct. 14, 1902, at St. Mary’s Church.

A member of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society, he was employed as a machinist at Giddings & Lewis Inc., retiring in 1942.

The last member of his family, survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 6, 1960, seven sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 130 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. John H. Goebel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
