The eldest of eight children, Albini became head of the family at the age of 14, after his father, Ovide, was killed in an automobile accident.
He farmed on the family homestead a half mile south of Aubigny, MB where he and his wife, Clairinda, raised four children (Gilles, Gisèle, Monique, Bernard), and cared for his mother (Juliette). They lived in a large two storey, 6 bedroom house. The farmstead consisted of a large barn, a chicken coop, a large feed and machinery shed, a workshop where he tinkered, several graineries and various farm buildings. Cattle, pigs, chickens and geese sustained the family with meat, eggs, milk and feathers. A horse assisted with the farm labour and field work until mechanized tractors took over.
Albini spent his life on the farm until age and failing health forced him to move in with his daughter, Gisele, in Lockport and then to a seniors home alongside his wife in St. Malo, MB.
Albini was a devout Catholic, attending daily church services and prayed the rosary daily.
He took great pleasure seeing and looking after his grandchildren.
