About Pierre Antoine Labouchere
Recieved his education in Germany and England, with a view to a commercial career. In 1827 he went to the USA and 1832 to China. 1836 he became a pupil of his friend and master, Paul Delaroche. His favourite subjects were scenes in the history of the Reformation. His illustrations of The Life of Martin Luther was engraved in line.
