About Poet Fray Inigo de Mendoza
Fray Iñigo de Mendoza , born 1425 in Burgos , died in 1507 in Valladolid , was a Spanish poet and Franciscan monk .
Mendoza was as famous for his galore life at the court as for his hostage of the loads of time. In Dictado a vetuperio de las malas mujeres y alabanza de las buenas (1489) he satirizes in 288 verses of life, in which he himself participated in an eye-catching way. Other works with the same purpose are Coplas and Los Reyes Católicos , Justa de la razón contra la sensualidad and many others. He greatly welcomes his La Vida de Jesucristo and Cancionero (1492), which also contains baptismal poems by other authors. The Spanish Academy's "Catálogo de autoridades de la lengua" occupies Mendosa's name
