"Mrs. Priscilla Brown died at her home in Elberton last Sunday morning at 8 o'clock after a short illness in the 70th year of her age. She was surrounded by her children: Messrs. J. C., D. H., and M. J. Brown; Mrs. C. P. Taylor and Mrs. R. T. Rayle, when the final summons came. The funeral services were conducted from the home on Monday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. Brewer G. Boardman and the interment was a Elmhurst cemetery. The long funeral procesion, and the profusion of beautiful floral tributes mutely spoke the love and esteem of relatives, and also of many friends, to whom her long and useful life had been a benediction. Mrs. Brown's was a gentle, lovely Christian character, and the following tribute, written by a loved one, feebly expresses what all who knew her feel." [The long tribute not included here.]
