Inscription: "Here Lyeth ye Body of Pru dence ye wife of Mr. James Treat who Dec'd May ye 25 A.D. 1727 Aged 60 Years."

Based on Prudence's recorded date of birth her gravestone inscription is incorrect. Before the early 1800s gravestones throughout New England utilized the Latin term Ætatis to state one's age at death, which is different from one's chronological age at death. On the day she died she was 60 years old and Ætatis (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 61.
