About Pte. David Andrew Honoré
David Andrew HONORE was enlisted into the military in WW1 under the service number 3/54 and saw service as a Medic in the 1914 Samoan Advance, then served time during 1915 at Gallipoli. After the war he enlisted into the Legion of Frontiersmen as number 21777 and was a member of the Palmerston North unit, eventually being elected the Commandant for New Zealand during the 1960's. When WW2 came about he again enlisted into the military and was in charge of the forming and commanding of the Linton Home Guard.
