Amos Hasilton was a Private in Capt. Daniel Grout's Co.,Col. Enoch Hallet's regt.; enlisted Aug. 13, 1780; discharged Oct. 30, 1780: service, 2 mos. 17 days; company raised to reinforce Continental Army for 3 mos. He was later the constable and tax collector in Bradford, MA. [3]
In the morning he attended public worship, apparently in good health. At the close of the religious exercises he, with others, went into and house, near the place of worship, and entered into conversation -- suddenly, he his head back upon his chair, and expired without a word or groan. [2]
