Pvt Donald F. Quinn enlisted at Fort Snelling, Hennepin County, Minnesota on 20 July 1944 as a Private. He completed 1 year of high school and was married on 11 June 1939 to Milree M. Lawson in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Private Quinn entered army service last July 18, and has been overseas since early January. He was serving with the glider infantry forces according to the last direct word from him. He was employed at the Miller Motor Co. before entering service.
His brother, Robert L. Quinn, was killed in action in France on July 6, 1944 and is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
