SPANISH AMERICAN WAR VETERAN
Edward Nichols was the son of Edmund and Louise (Parker) Nichols. He was born June 1, 1876 in Washington County, Virginia.
MILITARY RECORD: Enlisted May 9, 1898; assigned to Company "E", 3rd Regiment Virginia Infantry. Discharged November 6, 1898 in Richmond, Virginia with rank of private.
He was the husband of Bertha M. Nichols, who he married December 10, 1903. His living children were Margaret N. Banks, of Seattle (born 1904); Mary Larsen of Everett (born 1912) and Edna M. Harrington of Port Orchard (born 1914). He had lived continously in Washington state since April 1913 and lived at Big Lake until 1939 when he moved to Kenmore. He left there in 1943 for Seattle and moved to Woodinville in 1945.
He died October 8th, 1961 at 11:00 P.M. at the Washington Veterans' Home.
