Marion Chronicle-Tribune / Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1984 / Pg.10 Hartford City - John Edward Wardrip, 74, Hartford City, died Monday in his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Mr. Wardrip, a native of Kirk, Ky., was a former resident of Converse and Bluffton. He retired from Corning Glass, Bluffton, and was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Pauline; two daughters, Julia Hutchison, Novato, Calif., and Sheila Freel, Montpelier; one son, Michael, Hartford City; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Carmen, Cloverport, Ky., Mrs. Lester (Dora May) Kirkpatrick, Marion, and Mrs. Frances Pollard, Upland; one brother, George, Texas, and eight grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at the Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City, with the Rev. Robert C. Neel officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas city.
