Róbert Tábori (November 10, 1855–1906) was a Hungarian author born at Almas and educated in Baja, Budapest, and Vienna. He began his literary career in 1874 as a journalist on the Vienna "Fremdenblatt," later joining the staff of the "Morgenpost." From 1887 to 1890 he edited the "Südungarische Zeitung" at Temesvar, and was later the editor of the literary magazine "Uj Idök" in Budapest.

Of Tábori's works, which were especially popular among the young in his day, may be mentioned: "A Szobor Titka," 1885, a novel; "Kulturképek," 1889, short stories; "Ildikó," 1890, a drama; "Párbaj," 1890, a novel; "Az Etet Folytatásokban," 1890, a novel; "Átalakulások," 1893, a novel; "Szabadsághősök," 1894, a novel; "Korhadt Oszlopok," 1895, a novel; "Oceania," 1898, short stories; and "Megfagyott Pezsgö," 1899, a novel.

Tábori Róbert ( Bácsalmás , 1855 . November 10 - Budapest , 1906 . May 24 [1] ), Hungarian writer, journalist, father of Tábori Piroska (1892-1947) husband of Tutsek Anna (1865-1944).

Life course: Tauber Ármin and Grosz Nina's son. He graduated from high school in Baja, the university in Vienna and Budapest . He began his newspaper activity in the Baja newspaper in 1873 and continued in Jász-Nagy-Kun-Szolnok and in several other country papers. In 1876 he became a member of Vienna's Fremdenblatt and then Morgenpost. From 1883 to 1884 he worked for the Berliner Zeitung. He was a correspondent of the Pest Crypto and the Metropolitan Pages between 1881-1882. In 1884 he returned to Budapest and became a member of the Editorial Board of Pesti Hirlap in July 1887. From July 10 1887 to 1890 he edited the South Hungarian Communication in Temesvár , and then for three years in Budapest the Hungarian Youth . At the end of the 1880s, he had a doctorate at Prague's Politik and Berlin's Deutsches Heim. In his last years he was a theatrical referral to the Pest Journal and since his foundation he has worked as a deputy editor at New Times .

On June 16, 1900, he was married in Budapest, the VII. district to Anneli Tutsek [Anna Emilia], the daughter of József Tutsek and Kis Cecília. The two witnesses were József Wolfner and Lajos Pósa.
