About REV JAMES LANGSTON
James Langston was a Baptist preacher of the old order, though he made his living chiefly by farming, and in his later years was a toll-gate keeper near Wabash, Indiana. James died at the home of his son, John and Jennie with relatives in Iowa. The following is the inscription on his tombstone in the old cemetery at Lafontaine:
