Son of Andrew & Martha Walvatne Sr Obituary (Independent Long Beach (Fri 7-13-1951) Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Mottell's chapel for Richard A Walvatne, 320 Roswell Ave, who died Wednesday. The Rev. Orval A Awerkamp will officiate. A native of Luverne, Minn, Walvatne had lived here for 24 years. he was a veteran of WWI. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Dorothy E Walvatne of Long Beach; a son James Graves of Fullerton; ad daughter, Mrs Dorothy Graves of Long Beach; two brothers, Eilert Walvatne of Minnesota and Oliver Walvatne of Fargo, ND and two sisters, Mrs Lena Harves of Sherman SD and Mss Emma Walvatne of Los Angeles.
