About Rabbi Tzadok Ha Levi Ish Hurwitz (Gurevich)
Rabbi Zadock Ha Levi Hurwitz (Gurevich) bar Shmuel was born 1869.
He married Hinda Cohen - the daughter of Rabbi Joseph ¬ Cohen. Was appointed Rabbi 1898 in Polonga (Polangen). Later 1912 he was Rabbi in White Russia in Dashkavka, and after in Shatzk. He and his wife in 1932 emigrated to Palestine. All of their six daughters
Khvola, Bluma, Ida, Perla (Pola), Sara-Sheina, Basia had the surname of Gurevich,
they were not allowed to emigrate and were forced to stay in Russia. Rabbi Zadock Ha Levi Hurwitz lived in Jerusalem, the quarter Nahalaot. In Jerusalem he continued to be Chairman of Rabbinical Court. He is the author of the book “קול צהלה” (“Exultation of sermon”), published in 1906 and 1911. At the present time it is stored as a rarity in the archive of the Library

In 1942 he died and buried in Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives with his wife.
The main purpose of this project is to find descendants of the brother of Rabbi Zadock Ha Levi Hurwitz, who lived in America in the first half of the 20-th century This searches are hampered by the fact that unknown his first name, year and place of birth, year of emigration to America. It have known only his surname Ha Levi Hurwitz (Gurevich) and the first name with surname of his father, Shmuel Ha Levi Hurwitz (Gurevich).
