About Rachel Leigh Hansen

I come from a long line of English Noblemen (on my dad's paternal side) and all throughout my ancestors are Knights, Noblemen, and Pastors. My 9th Great Grandfather Samuel Annesley was a dissenter of the Church of England and a puritan pastor - his sister, Susanna married Samuel Wesley and mothered the famous John and Charles Wesley who founded the Methodist movement. My Great Aunt Eleanor Ruth Grant founded and Pastored the 1st Pentecostal Church of Longwood, FL in 1956.

One of my Grandfathers (many times Great) was named John and was a sheriff of Nottingham England sometime before the 1300's (How cool is that?!). My Greatest Grandfather back that I can find was Richard de Annesley and in 1059 he possessed the County of Nottingham in England.

On my dad's maternal side I descend from Henry Hudson and I am told there happens to be a pirate in my family as well. Also in my family history on that side is the Starr family. I am still researching this side of the family and so, know less of that history ;).

My mother's paternal side is Czechoslovakian and Russian and her maternal side is English/Irish and French. Again, not much research done on that side of the family so far.
