Immigrated to USA in 1853 settling in Grand Rapids area. Married Mary Ann Harriskey, a native of Ireland. His occupation was that of Gardener. Attended St. Andrew's Cathedral parish. His father, Paul had passed away in Netherlands. Rest of family immigrated shortly after. His brother, Martin was also living in Grand Rapids and attending St. Andrew's. His mother, Catharine and brother, Albert and family were living in Bowne and attending St. Patrick parish. Sister, Martha married Mathias Kreiser of St. Mary's, New Salem.

Death of Ralph Van Dyke

Ralph Van Dyke, for many years a resident of Kent County, died at his home on Hall Street a few roads south of the city limits at 4:30 this morning, from heart trouble and general debility. Mr. Van Dyke was 77 years of age and leaves a widow and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Kreisier, of 85 Kent Street. The funeral will be held at St. Andrews cathedral at 9 o'clock Saturday morning.
