About Randolph Macon
Randolph Macon, 68, husband of Mrs. Birdie Andrews Macon and son of James Barbour and Mrs. Fannie Malbon Macon died at the residence 1213 Colley Ave., Apt 7, Wednesday at 3:45 a.m. Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. H. Cornick Woodhouse, of Norfolk; three brothers, B. Knox Macon, of Malvern, Pa.; D. Conway Macon, of Norfolk; and Edgar B. Macon, of Richmond and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Macon was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and was a member of the First Baptist Church. For the past 24 years, he had been with the ABC Board and for a number of years was in the real estate business. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as Sergeant Major in the 314th Machine Gun Battalion in France. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Friday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
