About Raymond Emerson
CONCORD, Mass., Oct. 30 (AP)—Raymond Emerson, a former civil engineer and a retired investment banker who was the last surviving grandson of Ralph Waldo Emerson, the 19th‐century essayist, poet and philosopher, died Thursday at his home. He was 90 years old.
He graduated from Harvard in 1910 and did surveying and engineering work in this country, Canada and Brazil, before joining J.M. Forbes & Co., Boston investment managers and trustees, as a partner. He retired in 1955.
He leaves a wife, two sons, two daughters, 22 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
