Mrs. Rebecca Bloom, 78, died at the Chatfield nursing home here at 5:50 a.m. today.

She was born in Russia in 1878 and came to the United States shortly after the turn of the century. She had lived in Ottumwa since that time. Survivors include a brother, a nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Bloom, and a sister, Mrs. Jacob Redman.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jay funeral home in charge of Rabbi Isaac Nadoff of Des Moines. She will be buried in Ottumwa Jewish cemetery.
