Wife of John Cox.

Known Children:

John Cox Elias Cox William Cox David Cox Allen Cox Rachel Cox-Snodgrass Rebecca "Bena' Cox-Johnson Isabella "Ibby" Cox-Vanhook Elizabeth "Betsy" Cox-Sullens

Rebeccah Cox is listed 22 April 1806 with 3 horses next to David Cox and William Cox in Montgomery County Virginia Personal Property Tax. She is not listed later in Virginia.

Rebeccah Cocks is listed in 1809 Wayne County Kentucky Tax without property but with 2 horses next to probable sons David and George Cocks.

Rebecca Cox received assignment of a Semenary land Grant next to John and Elizabeth (Cox) McGee 7 February 1810 on Meadow Creek, Wayne County. Rebecca Cox purchased an additional 22 acres from John and Elizabeth McGee on 9 March 1810 adjoining her other land on Meadow Creek.

Rebecca Cox is listed in Wayne County Tax 1810-1824 with 72 acres Meadow Creek and 2 or 3 horses. She is listed in Wayne Tax in 1827 with 1 male over age 21, her assumed son-in-law Peter Sullens as her 72 acres are listed under his name in 1828. Rebecca is probably the female over age 45 (born before 1775) with Peter and Betsy Sullens in 1820 Wayne County Census and age 60-69 (born 1761-1770) with them in 1830 Wayne County.

Rebecca sold 72 acres on Meadow Creek 20 August 1831; Betsy Sullins, Peter Sullins and Rebecca Johnson signed the deed along with her Rebecca Cox. (A husband is not listed for Rebecca Cox and none of her sons were listed in Wayne County at this time). I have not found Rebecca Cox in Wayne County after August 1831 and she may have died as Peter and Betsy Sullens moved to Missouri about 1835.
