Rebecca Golladay

At her residence, four and one-half miles southeast of Bennett, on Saturday, December 3rd, 1887, at 6 o'clock a.m. Mrs. Rebecca Golladay, aged 57 years, 2 months.

    Mrs. Golladay has been a resident of Bennett, Lancaster county, Nebraska several years, coming here from Iowa soon after the death of her husband who preceded her only a few short years.  She has for forty years been an earnest and consistent member of the United Brethern Church, and was much respected by all who had made her acquaintance.  She leaves a large family of grown children and many friends to mourn her loss.  The funeral was held at her residence, Sunday, December 4th.  Rev E. F. Austin preaching the sermon.  The remains were laid to rest in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
