Regina Steindlerová

Date of birth from record of Regina's first marriage, badatelna.cz, Benešov Bk 47, Image 233. Regina and Jaroslav were married in Benešov on March 27, 1910, by Rabbi Dr. Otakar Kraus.

Witnesses were Jaroslav's father, Mořic Šteindler of Benešov and JuDr. Filip Schneider of České Budějovice. Additional notes on the same document state that they were divorced in Prague on April 2, 1921. Regina was deported with transport Dw from Prague to Ghetto Theresienstadt on March 21, 1944 and liberated in Terezín. Probably she was protected so long becouse of her Greek citizenship and especially the Greek citizenship of her son with "mixed parentage".
