About Reginald Patrick O'Callaghan
Joined British Army at age 16 at Curragh Camp, Co.Kildare. Fought in France in WWI. Found it difficult to settle down on return to Dublin. Fought as an officer in Free State Army in Irish Civil War in 1922. Operated out of Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Left family in Dublin 1926 and sailed out of Southampton on the SS Dresden ( for confirmation see http://www.irlandeses.org/paxlist27.htmon) for South America.
