Reuben Buell was born on 24 August 1720 at Killingworth, CT. He was the son of Samuel Buell.

Reuben Buell married Hannah Young, daughter of James Young and Mary Higgins, on 13 June 1743 at Killingworth, CT.

Reuben Buell died on 16 September 1802 at Clinton, CT, at age 82.

He m. (2) at Haddam, CT in 1779 to widow Anne (---) PORTER, who may have been the mother of his dau. Hannah.
