Reuben Luxford was born February, 1640, in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, the son of James and Elesabeth Luxford.[1][2][3]
"The homestead on the west corner of Brattle and Hawthorn streets belonged to Reuben Luxford, son of James, whose daughter Margaret married John Pattin or Patten."[4]
He bore his mother's name, Albon, while in [the] family of John Fessenden.[5]
He married, firstly, Margaret, on June 22, 1669, in Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts.[5][6][7][8] Based on the sources found so far, it is fairly clear that Margaret's maiden name was unknown.
He married, secondly, Lydia.[5]
He died on May 3, 1703, in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.[9][10] He preceded his second wife in death. His widow married Nathaniel Billings.[5][11]
Note
Sources also refer to Reuben as being the "son of the unfortunate James Luxford and Sister Albone".[4]
