Reuben Mills, Sr

Many references list Reuben's death as 3 Aug 1807. However, Reuben and Sarah removed from Deep River MM NC, 7 Sep 1807 & were received in Concord MM, OH on 19 Jan 1808. Both he and his wife could not have died prior to 19 Jan 1808. Reuben and Sarah are not mentioned again after this date.

Reuben Mills, was the fifth child of Thomas Mills and Elizabeth Harrold. Reuben was born about 1753. His birth was most likely in Frederick Co., VA. However, his parents arrived in North Carolina in September of 1753.

Reuben Mills first married Ciceley Johnson 11 Aug 1773, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Johnson. Their marriage and birth of two children was recorded in the New Garden Monthly Meeting.

Sarah (1774-1775) Elizabeth (1775-1846)

Reuben Mills next married Sarah Overman 7 Aug 1777, the daughter of Isaac OVERMAN and Mary EVANS. Their marriage was recorded in the New Garden Monthly Meeting, Guilford Co., NC. The birth of their five children were recorded in Deep River Monthly Meeting, Guilford Co., NC
