Rev. Edward Fairchild

Biography

Edward was born in 1685. He was the son of Samuel Fairchild and Mary Wheeler. Edward received land in 1705 from his Fathers estate. In 1711, he married Elizabeth Blakeman, great granddaughter of of pioneer clergyman of Stratord, Adam Blackman. They had six children. He was the first and only minister in Stratford, Conn for a number of years. He passed away in 1747.

Elizabeth Blakeman was the daughter of Ebenezer & Patience (Wilcoxson) Blakeman, 10 Feb 1688/89, she d. after 1729 birth of son, Ebenezer.
