Francis Lucas appears up to 1765 (V.b.), probably Francis Lucas, son of Thomas 'Armiger' Lucas of Castleshane. born in Co Monaghan, educated by Mr Thomas Skelton (a brother of Philip, who left some writings and a biography), entered TCD Jan 21 1742/3 aged 17, BA 1747, MA 1753, ord D 1747, P 1748 - Kilmore. Curate Clones 1750, rector Drumgoon 1763-70, ob.

P. will pr. 1770, m. Isabella Eccles, Had a daughter, Alicia, m. Edward Richardson of Poplar Vale, Co Monaghan.

Notes for ISABELLA ECCLES: There is a record in Clones Parish burial register for what seems like a Mrs Lucas aged 84 on May 15 1805. This would make her one of the older children of Daniel Eccles & Mary Lowry while I'm sure she is one of the youngest.
