About Rev. James H. Snow

Rev. James was the sixth child and third son of Pleasant Henderson Snow and Nancy C. Sykes Snow. He married Elizabeth (Betty) M. Moseley on October 20, 1886, in Bedford County, Tennessee. He was a Baptist preacher at the Ogden Baptist Church, a church in Cumberland County, Tennessee, (1920) and the Centennial (Deaderick Avenue) Baptist Church in Knoxville (1930).

Crossville Chronicle January 12, 1933: Rev James H. Snow, 76, died at his home at Morgan Springs, 9 miles from Dayton on the mountain on Saturday, January 7. He had been sick for several weeks and had been in declining health for several years. Some years ago he was pastor of the Baptist church here for a period of years. He was born in Rhea county. He launched and built the Baptist church at Dallas, Texas. He was a man of marked ability and a splendid financier in furthering church enterprises.
