"Webb, (Rev.) Joseph. Minister at Fairfield, had colonial grant of 200 acres, May 1699; preached Election Sermon, 1701. Grad. Harvard Coll. 1684. … He d. at Fairfield, 12 Sept. 1732 ae. 66 (g. s.). Adm'n granted, 30 Oct 1732, to Mr. Samuel Pumroy of Newtown, L. I., and Mr. Joseph Webb of Newark, N. J. Prenuptial agreement with Mrs. Mehitabel Coney dated 21 Sept. 1721. Agreement 14 Nov. 1732 regarding Est. of Rev. Joseph, lands in Reddings, etc., some of which belonged to his former wife Elizabeth; made by Joseph Webb of Newark, N. J., Samuel Pumroy and Elizabeth his wife of Newtown, Queens County, Island of Nassau, and John Dennie and Sarah his wife, Abigail Webb, and Josiah Webb, all of Fairfield."
