About Reverend William Fenner
William was a missionary with the London Missionary Society. He and his wife arrived in Posen, Prussia on 23 October 1857 where their first two children were born. They subsequently moved on to Tunis, North Africa arriving there in April 1860 where his task was to teach Christianity to the Jews. Further details can be found in St. Francis Magazine, Vol 8, No 3, June 2012 entitled "A Brief History of St. George's Anglican Church, Tunis" by Rev. Dr Jos M. Strengholt.
William was seconded as Temporary Chaplain at Christ Church, Jerusalem from July 1870 to April 1871.
