Riaan van den Berg (1971 – 2014)

Brief overview:

Riaan (43), who lived alone was attacked by four men in his house. The assailants tied him up and strangled him with a curtain rope. The murderers fled in Van Den Berg's bakkie, with a flat-screen TV, cellphone, hi-fi system and tumble dryer.

According to Brig. Mpumalanga provincial police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi, the two surviving suspects, Collen Nhlanhla Shongwe (39), and Solomon Sydney Mabaso (34), were sentenced in the Circuit Court of the Pretoria Magistrate's Court in Graskop.
