RICHARD BORUFF Hobart/Portage, Indiana Age 91, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008.
He was retired principal of Ridge View Elementary in Hobart. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army. He lived in Lake and Porter counties for 50 years, coming from Owensburg, IN.
He is survived by: son, Kent Douglas of WA; daughter, Karen Boruff of Portage; brothers, Maurice and Robert Boruff of Owensburg, IN; sisters, Katherine Swango and Patsy Boruff both of Owensburg; 9 grandchildren, Valerie (Marty) Martinez, Kristy (James) Armstrong, Sonja, Nevill, Aaron, Joseph, Kristian, Heidi, and Joshua; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; son, Kristopher; and daughter, Valerie Boruff.
Arrangements and cremation were at Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Rd., Hobart.
