My maternal ancestors are Clamps. My g/father was Richard Ferring Clamp,born in Liverpool, his father was Richard Edumund Clamp born in London, and his father was Farring Clamp, not quite sure where he was born as on three census it gives three different places - Bury St.Edmunds, Suffolk, = Ipswich, Norfolk and Canterbury City - his date of birth would have been around 1799. I have not been able to find the birth of Richard Edmund Clamp (approx.1825) or Farring Clamp - would anyone have any informatin on these Clamps. Thank you.
