Richard is left a legacy in the will of his grandfather which was written 15 AUG 1717.
to my grandson, Richard Johns, eldest son of my deceased son Abraham Johns, two parcels of land that was made over to me by William Billingsley. That is to say Billingsleys Swamp 136 acs & part of Friendship Rectified 150 acs, also a parcel I bought of William Dorrumple called Fellowship 160 acs. All 3 parcels of land lying between the Clifts and the Branches of Battle Creek in Calvert Co. containing in the whole 446 acres. [1]
