Richard Kingsnorth

Despite proof of earlier records of the family, some dating from the thirteenth century, viz. Jonothan in the service of Bishop Swinfield and Adam at St. Austens Abbey, Canterbury, this particular Richard is the earliest Kingsnorth that we are able to place on our tree with any degree of certainty although there is the absolute certainty of parentage and the distinct possibility that there were siblings of whom we have no knowledge whatsoever. The fact that the family must have been well established some two hundred years prior to this Richard would indicate some very early origins.
