Records at Parramatta Anglican, St John's; Richard's name has been added to his wife's (Catharine)'s headstone, she died in 1836.
His third (?) wife Mary (late O'Donnell) is buried separately in St John's.

On the 5th instant, at his residence, Parramatta, Mr. Richard Mortimer, an old colonist of 69 years, aged 90 years.
FUNERAL.—The Friends of the late Mr. RICHARD MORTIMER are respectfully requested to attend his Funeral. The procession will move from his late residence, George-street, Parramatta, THIS DAY, June 7th, at 12 o'clock. JORDAN SPARKS, undertaker.
