About Sir Richard Pye
Slaveholder in the Bahamas and Connecticut and Rhodesia Island. Travelled to Providence, where his grandfather had been bestowed lands by the crown, thought to have returned after disease killed some slaves and others were sold off. , unknown if he ever travelled to the Bahamas. Slaves were brought from Biafra or modern day Nigeria.
Some records say he died at a young age however that is thought to be another sibling that died in childhood.
Some information suggests he may have been an MP.
