About Richard Woodson Olive
Richard Woodson Olive, 83, died Saturday May 3 1987. A native of Stafford County, he was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways. He was the pied piper, (as well as a deacon) at his church, Temple Baptist, where the children all followed him to share a bit of wisdom and, maybe, a piece of his gum! He was proud of his accomplishments, particularly his time as manager and coach of the White Oak Baseball Club for 20 years. He was the widower of Sara Miran Abel Olive and was survived by his daughter, Marjorie O. (Lewis M.) Heflin, two granddaughters, Marsha and Vallie, and he was the beloved Papa Dick to his three great-grandchildren Emily, Ryan and Bryce Rech.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Oct 9 2020, 20:56:58 UTC
