Public memorial services are to be held at 3pm. Sunday in First English Lutheran Church for Ralph Burden, a member of that church, who lost his life on December 7, 1941, in the attack by Japanese on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The deceased was a confirmed member of First English Lutheran Church. Mrs. Clem Hague, his sister and nearest of kin, has been given assurance that the body of the young sailor has been lost at sea and will not be recovered for return and burial here, hence the decision to conduct a memorial service at this time, the Rev. George Weissling, pastor, announced. The funeral surmon will be preached by the Rev. George Weissling and music numbers will be presented by the church choir.
