Robert "Bob" P. Bohan

    Robert ? Bob? P. Bohan, 84, of North Platte died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Centennial Park in North Platte.

    Bob was born July 6, 1923, at Greeley, Neb., to John and Elizabeth (Cahill) Bohan. 

    Bob grew up in Greeley and graduated from Sacred Heart School. After his schooling he farmed on the family farm.

    He married Dorothy Ryan on July 6, 1957, at Denver. They lived in Denver and he was a surveyor. In 1962 Bob returned to Greeley and began farming again. They moved to Grand Island in 1970 and he worked at the ordnance plant, the Swift packing plant, St. Francis Medical Center and Continental Gardens. He retired in 1992, making his home in North Platte. 

    He was a fix-it man and enjoyed renovating his homes. 

    He was a member of St. Patrick''s Catholic Church in North Platte.

    Survivors include his wife Dorothy of North Platte; son Bob (Valerie) Bohan of North Platte; daughter Mary (Rocky) Muir of Grand Island; brother Bill Bohan of Grand Island, two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; step great grandson Jaden Muir; brothers, Kevin, Harold, Tom and Phil; and sister Bernice McGuire.

    Services were June 16 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis T. Curran officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family''s choice.

    Arrangements were with Curran Funeral Chapel.
