About Robert Bould
He married the daughter of Ohariu pioneer James Bryant in 1878.
Was a member of the Johnsonville Town Board for 12 years and chairman for three of these.
Was one of the founders of the local Lodge of Oddfellows in which he held the positions of Master and Trustee.
Was on the Johnsonville School Committee for 2 years.
Daisy Hill Farm was used during the Boer War as an army camp and later for a boys camp.
The family sold the house and farm in 1915 and moved to Dr Taylor Terrace. Part of Daisy Hill Farm became a racecourse and was known as Bould's Trotting Course.
By the 20's the property was run as a dairy farm. The Birches, by a Mr Hayes and the Martelli family bought it about 1939.
