Just at this time, the post, one day in January, 1798, brought an important letter from Virginia ; containing a long looked-for invitation from his brother Robert, Come over to us, brother Tom, a situation is ready ;" which he at once accepted, and arranged to quit Scotland and Europe in the month of March, being thus for the third time on tiptoe for flight to the New World. And once more came disappointment. His eldest brother disapproved: "Tom had better stay and finish his education." So the plan that the parents should move to Edinburgh was resumed, and carried out at Martinmas, 1798

Patrick Henry m. second,9th Oct. 1777, Dorothea Dandridge, granddaughter of Gov. Spotswood, the issue of this marriage were 6. Dorothea Spotswood Henry m. George D. Winston; issue, Patrick, George, Edward, Fayette, James, Edmund, Sally and Elvira. These went to North Carolina, Missouri and Mississippi.

7. Sarah Butler Henry m. first Robert Campbell, brother of Thomas Campbell the poet, no issue; m. second Alex. Scott of Fauquier; issue, 1. Henrietta m. Gen. Wm. H. Bailey of Louisanna, 2. Catherine m. Dr. Robert Scott, 3. P. H. Scott m. Mary Yancey and left six children.

2. Sarah Butler (Sallie) born 4 Jan. 1780 at "Leatherwood", died 10 Dec 1856 at age 76 at "Seven Islands" married 1st 31 Aug 1799 Robert Campbell who died Sept. 1808, no children.
