About Robert Stuart Coulter, Sr.
This photo is complements of my brother's facebook report and includes relatives gathered 5/30/2011 for the dedication of the memorial medallion. The stone had been dedicated by the SAR July 2010.
The tombstone shown in 2010 that is in the media folder now is of his son's located in Old Salem Cemetery near my childhood home. Date of death on it is 1852. The person listed here of the same name is buried near Highland Illinois, but I haven't been there to look for it.
Merlin Coulter
I and other family members were at Grant Forks, Illinois for a dedication of his stone by the SAR in the summer of 2010. A medallion is to be placed Memorial Day 2011 by the SAR. I have some pictures of the stone but will have to look for them. His stone block house has been restored nearby. It was just off the extension of the stage coach line from Vandelia, IL to Alton, IL outside of Grant Forks, a few miles north of Highland. MKC
