The Question of Identity

Robert Dinwiddie of Germiston, here treated, is the eldest son of Laurence Dinwiddie of Germiston. It was probably him who was enrolled as a burgess and guild brother of Glasgow on 26 May 1762, having been admitted in right of being his father's eldest son. Glasgow Burgesses, 1751-1846, p. 42
